Oblix, son of Sner, was a male Ferengi famed as the most successful motivational speaker in the Ferengi Alliance. It was said that he could outtalk a Cardassian and still have the energy to debate logic with a Vulcan, and remarkably, people enjoyed listening to him. At the height of his success, he was able to draw listeners from as far away as the Romulus willing to pay to listen to his business seminars.

He was so persuasive that a generation of Ferengi adopted his business philosophy, even though few could explain what it was. Careful analysis showed his long speeches could be summed up by the 263rd Rule of Acquisition: "Never allow doubt to tarnish your lust for latinum."

Oblix eventually died of a ruptured vocal cord. (DS9 reference: Legends of the Ferengi)
