Occino was a Starfleet security crewmember aboard Deep Space 9 in 2370. She found Nog and Jake Sisko in the cargo passages after someone reported unauthorized people in the area. She then escorted them to the Promenade's public deck, telling them to go home and stay out of trouble. Later, Occino beamed to the Promenade when Berat came running out of Quark's. When Berat turned his phaser onto himself, Occino fired her phaser, trying to stun him, but was too late as Berat fired at the same time. (DS9 novel: Betrayal)
