Ocean of Storms, or Oceanus Procellarum, is a region on the planetoid Luna, which is the moon of the planet Earth. It is located in the southern hemisphere at coordinates 3°11'51" S latitude and 23°23'8" W longitude.
History and specifics[]
The Ocean of Storms was the landing site for Apollo 12 under the command of Pete Conrad on 19 November 1969.
In the 24th century, DTI agent Gariff Lucsly mistakenly believed astronaut Alan Shepard had landed at the Ocean of Storms. This mistake cost him a bet with his partner, Dulmer. (VOY - Strange New Worlds II short story: "Almost... But Not Quite")
