Oghen was home to an indigenous sentient bovine species of the same name.
Oghen was taken over by the Neyel Hegemony. The Neyel enslaved the Oghens and the planet became the "Coreworld" of the Hegemony.
Oghen was destroyed on stardate 57038.4 by spatial anomalies caused by an emerging protouniverse. Over 2 million residents of Oghen were rescued prior to the planet's destruction by USS Titan and Commander Donatra's Warbird Fleet. (TTN novel: The Red King)
