Omegan Ambassador

The Omegans were a humanoid species native to the Omega system.

By 2266, the Omegans were allies of the Federation, but were considering shifting their alliance to the Klingon Empire. To convince them not to do so, Starfleet Command ordered the USS Enterprise to escort Omegan ambassador T'Ki to the Omega system. Although relations between the Omegans and the Federation were nearly sabotaged by a Klingon duplicate of Captain James T. Kirk, Spock was able to expose the plot and convince T'Ki of the Klingons' treachery. (TOS comic: "The Enterprise Mutiny")

A race called Omegans originally appeared in Gene Roddenberry's first draft for "Assignment: Earth" where they were hostile Shapeshifters whose true form was described as dark and satanic looking. One of them was Isis who could appear as a cat or a beautiful woman, the other ,named Harth ,could appear also as a cat or as a male human described as a count Dracula type.Isis was later rewritten as Gary Seven's ally instead of a villain.
