Omicron Kappa II, was a planet, an inhabited class M world located in the Hotep sector of the galaxy's Beta Quadrant, in orbit of the Omicron Kappa star. Omicron Kappa II was the second planet in its system. (STO - Borg Advance mission: "A Gathering Darkness")

History[]

In the year 2409, a Federation research team, led by Doctor Eric Cooper, were working on counter-measures to the Borg nanoprobe virus. Inadvertently triggering a homing beacon, the Borg Collective dispatched a planetary assimilation probe, which began to assimilate all life on the planet, and the planet itself. Cooper, his team and critical research were saved by an Allied starship dispatched by Captain Nicholas Martin. The Undine appeared, commenced orbital bombardment, and destroyed Omicron Kappa II. With only planetary debris remaining and the Collective eliminated from the system, the Undine and the Allied ship departed. (STO - Borg Advance mission: "A Gathering Darkness")
