Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

A one-way missile was a type of rocket-powered spacecraft used by the natives of a planet in the Nabu system to send their criminals to asteroids which were doomed to explode. In 2266, Captain James T. Kirk discovered one missile, which Targu had claimed was his freighter. Later, Spock had a ship disguised as one of the missiles sent to the asteroid to rescue Kirk and the other landing party members. (TOS comic: "The Devil's Isle of Space")
