Operation: Annihilate (or Operation: Annihilate!) was a two-part comic adaptation of the TOS episode: "Operation -- Annihilate!". The comic story was part of the ongoing series of Kelvin timeline Star Trek comics released by IDW Publishing in 2012. The two issues were the fifth and the sixth of the IDW series, released in January and February, respectively. The story adjusted the circumstances of the original to coincide with the altered version of history from the 2009 film. The title of this story was not listed on the comic's title page, but was inscribed on the standard edition cover. Some alternate cover editions did not display the title. The title was slightly changed from the original—the exclamation point was removed and the double dash was replaced with a colon. In the second issue, the title again was only listed on the cover, this time with an added exclamation point. Spock's recovery from blindness in this story arc leads into the next story, Vulcan's Vengeance.
