Orb

The Bajoran Orbs, know to Bajorans as the Tears of the Prophets are mysterious artifacts which originate from the Prophets. The Bajorans store them in arks to contain their energies, which can induce effects on those exposed to them.

During the Cardassian occupation of Bajor, all but one of the nine orbs were taken by the Cardassians for study. By September of 2376, all nine orbs had been returned to Bajor. In addition, a tenth orb, the Orb of the Emissary was discovered by Benjamin Sisko on the planet Tyree in 2375. (DS9 episode: Shadows and Symbols)

When exposed to the orbs, many individuals have experiences ranging from intense thoughts to fully developed realities.
