Federation habitat

A 24th century Federation habitat.

Orbital habitats were large artificial structures. There were several near Earth in the late 24th century. (DS9 episode: "Past Tense, Part II")

James T. Kirk thought that Meredith Lassiter had been raised on a low gravity orbital habitat or Luna. (TOS novel: Windows on a Lost World)

In 2369, Benjamin Sisko was considering leaving Starfleet to take a civilian job that directed the construction of orbital habitats. His encounter with the Prophets made him decide to stay in Starfleet. (DS9 episodes: "Emissary", "The Way of the Warrior")
