Biography[]
By 2266, Ordover had been promoted to security section chief and reported to security chief Barry Giotto. He led a squad that included Ensign Clark, Ethan Mathews, John Perella, and Edward Rayburn.
In 2266, Ordover spoke at a memorial service for Rayburn and Matthews, who were killed by the android Ruk on Exo III.
When the Enterprise answered a distress call from planet 1324-IV, Ordover and his squad were part of the mission to rescue the colonists. During the approach to the settlement, Ordover took his squad at center while chief Brantley's team was positioned to the left and chief Sam Fuller's team to the right. Ordover was killed by the first shot fired against the rescuers by Orion pirates operating armor-plated heavy weapons platforms. After the battle, Fuller reassigned surviving members of Ordover's squad to Brantley's team.
A memorial service was held in the shuttle bay for Ordover and others who died during the rescue. It was attended by more than 400 of the ship's crew as well as nearly 60 of the surviving colonists. (TOS - Errand of Vengeance novel: The Edge of the Sword)
