Overne III is a Dominion planet and the third planet of the Overne system in the Gamma Quadrant that is inhabited by the Overne.
In 2376, Overne III suffered an agricultural plague that the Dominion was able to eradicate, although foodstuffs remained low despite rationing. Due to the importance of the Overne construction of Dominion starships and Jem'Hadar weapons, Vannis presented a plan to the Founders to obtain food from the Rindamil on Rindamil III. In 2383, Romulan and Breen forces of the Typhon Pact stole Dominion machinery that manufactured structural integrity field generators and deflector generators from Overne III. Laas and several Jem'Hadar tried to stop them. (ST - Typhon Pact novels: Plagues of Night, Raise the Dawn)
