The PK Gamma was an Undine bioship, a planet killer in Species 8472 service in the 2410s decade. The Gamma was assigned to the Undine shipyards at Bubbling Bay. (STO - Task Force Operation mission: "Viscous Cycle")

Service history and disposition[]

In the year 2410, the three Undine shipyards at Bubbling Bay were growing proto-planet killers. As a fully-grown planet killer, Gamma was the largest bioship among the Vila-, Dromias- and Nicor-class bioships present at Bubbling Bay. (STO - Task Force Operation mission: "Viscous Cycle")

Because of the threat Undine planet killers posed to the galaxy in the primary universe, Admiral Tuvok of 8472 Counter-Command organised an allied task force operation to attack the planet killers in their native fluidic space. "Operation: Viscous Cycle" included a five-ship task force pooled from Federation Starfleet, Imperial Klingon Defense Force and the Romulan Republic Navy. (STO website: A New Accord: Season 9 Dev Blog #17)

PK Gamma launched from Shipyard Gamma after Tuvok's task force had destroyed the proto-planet killers at Shipyard Alpha and Beta. Gamma hovered above the maw that housed Proto-Planet Killer Gamma. A blue quantum singularity rift opened in the vicinity of the shipyard, potentially allowing the Gamma and the proto-planet killers to enter the galaxy. The allied task force destroyed PK Gamma and infiltrated Shipyard Gamma, eliminating the last proto-planet killer before retreating to the prime universe. (STO - Task Force Operation mission: "Viscous Cycle")
