Pahvo was a star with an associated star system, located in the Kassae sector and Regulus sector block of the galaxy's Beta Quadrant. The system consisted a type G yellow star and five planets. The fifth planet, Pahvo, was the homeworld of the incorporeal Pahvan species. (STO - J'Ula's Discovery mission: "Para Pacem")

History and specifics[]

The Vulcans surveyed the Pahvo system in the 21st century and made first contact with the Pahvans. (STO - J'Ula's Discovery mission: "Para Pacem")

In the year 2256, a landing party of the USS Discovery visited planet Pahvo during the Federation-Klingon War of 2256-2257. The Pahvans invited the Federation and the Klingon Empire to peace talks but were unable to comprehend the danger they put themselves in. (DSC episode: "Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum")

The Klingons entered the system, forcing Discovery into a battle with the IKS Sarcophagus, flagship of the Empire. Following the destruction of the Sarcophagus, Captain Gabriel Lorca reprogrammed his ship's spore drive to jump into the mirror universe. (DSC episode: "Into the Forest I Go")

In 2387, the location of Priors in the Beta Quadrant was marked in an artistically rendered map of the Federation published by Starfleet in that year. (ST reference: Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library)

The system also appeared on a map in Fleet Admiral Kirsten Clancy's office at Starfleet Command on Earth in 2399. (PIC episode: "Maps and Legends")

Pahvan

A Pahvan in 2410.

In 2410, Chief Scientist Somat of Vulcan was ferried to the system by a Khitomer Alliance vessel when an ion storm was detected. At the time, the system was treated as a reserve and layered with buoys to keep visitors away. When Somat arrived, the ISS Discovery and a Klingon fleet, both originating from the mirror universe in 2256, appeared in orbit of Pahvo. Captain Sylvia Tilly of the Discovery requested asylum and was aided by the Alliance ship against the Klingons and Terran mutineers. She then used corrupted crystals to force the Pahvans into her servitude and took control of the central Pahvan transmitter. Somat's ship was heavily damaged and forced to leave the system. (STO - J'Ula's Discovery mission: "Para Pacem")

Captain "Killy" attempted to bring Terran Empire forces over but their ships were destroyed in transit. The Alliance returned. Somat accompanied an away team that helped restore the corrupted crystals and liberate the Pahvans. While several Terrans were captured, Captain Killy escaped. The Discovery and its Klingon assailants were returned to the past. (STO - J'Ula's Discovery mission: "Illusion of Communication")

The Dvery did not return to the mirror universe, but was destroyed in the prime universe, 2256. (DSC episode: "The War Without, The War Within")

Terran and Klingon forces kept attacking the system. Led by Lieutenant Commander Kyla VanZyl of the USS Voyager, the Alliance installed defense satellites around planet Pahvo. (STO - Mirror of Discovery missions: "Pahvo Dissension", "Peril Over Pahvo")
