Pakled Planet, also simply known as Pakled, was a planet, in orbit of the Pakled star system, located in the space of the galaxy's Alpha Quadrant. This planet was the homeworld of the Pakled civilization. (Decipher RPG module: Aliens)

History and specifics

The planet destroyed.

Pakled was the mountainous homeworld of the Pakled species. Though geologically active, Pakled experienced low levels of volcanic activity, allowing life to flourish in the planet's fertile valleys. It was located in a region of the Alpha Quadrant that remained unexplored by the United Federation of Planets until the 24th century. (Decipher RPG module: Aliens)

The capital city was called Big Strong City. (LD episode: "Grounded")

In 2381, the Federation starship USS Cerritos visited Pakled Planet on a diplomatic mission in the hopes of ending the conflict between the Pakled and the Federation. While Captain Carol Freeman's effort was unsuccessful she did uncover the plot of the Pakled trying to sneak a Varuvian bomb to Earth. (LD episode: "The Spy Humongous")

Pakled Planet was destroyed on stardate 58130.6 by a Varuvian bomb that had been planted in the capital city. Freeman was accused of assisting Klingon extremists in planting the bomb, and was taken into custody by Starfleet Security shortly afterward. (LD episode: "First First Contact")

In 2382, Starfleet determined that the Pakleds intentionally detonated the Varuvian bomb in Big Strong City to trick the Federation into relocating them to a resource-rich world. (LD episode: "Grounded")
