The Pan-African Games were a sporting event held in Africa on Earth, similar to the Olympic Games.

History and specifics[]

Nyota Uhura held the record for the 100 meter dash, a track-and-field event, at the Pan-African Games. (TOS comic: "Husian Gambit")

In 2270, Uhura recalled to Spock and Hikaru Sulu that she had previously run that distance in record time. (TAS episode & Log Ten novelization: The Slaver Weapon)

In 2274, Uhura mentioned her record from the Games to Captain Morgan Avery, suggesting that she could run quickly enough through triticale wheat fields without getting caught to light it on fire with a torch, creating a diversion for imprisoned starship personnel to escape their captors on Hus-24. (TOS comic: "Husian Gambit")

The Games were probably hosted by the Pan-African Alliance or the African Confederation.
