Captain Parimon Dasht was a male Human Starfleet officer in the late 24th century. In 2381, Dasht commanded the USS Esquiline, a Vesta-class starship assigned to Project Full Circle, a fleet tasked with exploration of the Delta Quadrant. (VOY novel: Full Circle)
Personal life[]
Dasht was a third-generation Starfleet officer, born of Admiral Lukas Dasht and Selena Royer Dasht. He had three sisters, Lilia, Merilee and Rowena. (VOY novel: The Eternal Tide)
He had a reputation for cavalier relationships that Afsarah Eden thought was exaggerated somewhat due to his good looks. (VOY novel: Children of the Storm)
Starfleet career[]
Lieutenant Dasht attended a lecture at the Starfleet Academy given by Willem Batiste and was acquainted with the Admiral for years afterwards. During that time, Batiste was replaced by deep-cover agent, a member of Species 8472.
Under Dasht's command, Esquiline established a time-delay interface with Starfleet Command that extended almost 40,000 light-years into the Delta Quadrant and made first contact with the Urnatal. During that occasion, Dasht received the Staff of Ren from First Minister Scrall as a gift for Fleet Commander Afsarah Eden.
On Stardate 58450.8, Captain Eden briefed Dasht in her office on USS Voyager about Batiste's revelation as spy, rendering Esquiline's Captain momentarily speechless and perturbed. Nevertheless, Parimon Dasht formally presented the Fleet Commander with the Staff of Ren. (VOY novel: Children of the Storm)
In September 2381, Dasht and most of his crew were trapped in the Omega Continuum when the Esquiline breached a fracture into it. Many of the crew, including Dasht, lost their minds while in the continuum. Dasht was killed along with everyone on board when Esquiline self destructed as part of a plan to seal the fracture. (VOY novel: The Eternal Tide)
