- For the primary universe counterpart, see Pavel Chekov (Kelvin timeline).
Pavlovna "Pavela" Chekov was Human female Starfleet lieutenant in a parallel universe affected by the Kelvin timeline.
Biography[]
In the year 2261, she served aboard the USS Enterprise. Upon encountering a quantum storm, the Enterprise encountered an alternate version of itself, though crewed by members of the opposite sex. Unable to actually meet her male counterpart face-to-face, Pavela contacted him via hails. The two managed to work out how to return everyone back to their respective realities. (TOS - Parallel Lives comics: "Part 1", "Part 2")
Months later, the Enterprise was caught in a similar, but far more powerful storm, where it encountered countless versions of the Enterprise. As the quantum energy surged, Pavela was beamed off the ship and materialized on a forested planet. Exploring, she found a large, Indian-styled city before she found Simon Grayson threatening Captain James T. Kirk. Stunning the former, Pavela placed herself under Kirk's command and led him, as well as SULU-1701, to the city she had discovered. (TOS - IDIC comic: "Part 2")
The three were detained by Augments and brought before their empress, a descendant of Khan Noonien Singh. Kirk was forced to fight the recovered Simon Grayson while Pavel and SULU were detained. As Grayson was about to kill Kirk, Pavela mentioned his half-Vulcan heritage distracting Grayson long enough for Kirk to apply the Vulcan nerve pinch and win the fight. As a result of Kirk's refusal to kill Grayson, Khan decided to keep the displaced trio as prisoners intending to sell Pavela off as a slave. (TOS - IDIC comic: "Part 3")
Though Kirk and SULU intended to rescue Pavela, she had already hacked through her cell's security and armed herself, saving them from several guards. The trio were then approached by Simon Grayson and though Pavela was ready to shoot the man dead, Kirk convinced her to accept him as a temporary ally. Grayson led the three to a shuttlecraft that Pavela was confident she could fly before Grayson seized her weapon and used it to bludgeon her into unconsciousness. (TOS - IDIC comic: "Part 4")
