The Pearl Nebula was a nebula where a Starfleet reserve fleet was docked. Cardassian forces under the command of Gul Kentar attacked the fleet and destroyed the Federation fleet. Klingon forces under the command Chancellor Martok retailiated against the massive Cardassian Union forces. The Klingon Empire was successful in holding the position and securing the nebula.
