Perach kisan was a type of custard fruit pie favored by Vulcans in the 23rd century.

History and specifics[]

Similar to prusah kisan, it was made with a variety of fruits similar to plums, apples, or apricots. It was sometimes served at as a dessert at formal gatherings, or as a main course along with soup at a residence.

Commander Spock preferred the more understated perach kisan to the fruitier prusah kisan. Spock provided Nurse Christine Chapel with a recipe for the dish, which she adapted for the USS Enterprise's food processors. She described her adaptation as a custard fruit pie. It was formulated using pastry, plums or apricots, sour cream, eggs, sugar, milk, and cinnamon. (TOS reference: Official Cooking Manual)
