Perikia was an ancient nation-state on Bajor, named for Periki Remarro, who first called for independence from the Lerrit. After successfully gaining their freedom on the battlefield, the Perikian Republic was formed.
A set of hills marked the border of the territory between Perikia and Lerrit; Perikia controlled the Perikian Peninsula and its port, Natlar, which opened into the Korvale Ocean. (DS9 short story: "Horn and Ivory")
