In the Kelvin timeline according to Khan Noonien Singh, in September 1992 Augment Dictator Asahf Ferris annexed Peru into the South American Union. By 1996, Augment infighting led to Peru becoming part of Alexander Newton's New American Empire. By the end of 1996, the Augment dictatorships were overthrown.
