Pete Conroy was a 23rd century Human man. He was a Starfleet crewman assigned to the Federation starship USS Enterprise in the 2270s under the command of Captain James T. Kirk.
History[]
In 2274, Conroy caught engineering ensign Mike Carpenter and his accomplice Lucy attempting to hide a container of illicit theep behind a wall in auxiliary control. Carpenter admitted that they had a buyer on Cyonis IV, where the acidic compound would be sold for a fortune, and for his silence Conroy accepted a cut of the deal. He envisioned being able to retire as the owner of a nightclub on Argelius II.
Conroy was stationed in auxiliary control when the Kzinti warship Death Dagger approached the Enterprise. The container started leaking, spilling acid onto crossover control circuits that disabled the ship's deflector shields. Security guards confiscated the container and everyone there, including Conroy, was interviewed by Sergeant Umeki.
Later, as the Enterprise approached Mimit, Conroy spotted Carpenter near a wall in engineering that started leaking acid. Enraged to discover Carpenter was smuggling a second container he knew nothing about, Conroy assaulted him. They fell onto short-circuiting transporter relays and were beamed outside the ship, where both died from exposure to space. (TOS comic: "The Wristwatch Plantation")
