Pete Flamm was a 23rd century Human man, a businessman and miner.

History[]

In 2266, Flamm invested heavily into an operation on an unlogged asteroid to mine crystals full of tri-faxichologenic acid, for which there was a black market. He exploited the indigenous humanoid population as free labor by addicting them to the narcotic kurali.

A visit by the starship USS Enterprise exposed Flamm's illegal activities. Although he was allowed to mine TFA, it was illegal to distribute kurali, and Kirk arrested him. However, a local boy named Klwama interfered, saying that the drug was needed to ease hardships faced by the natives. In exchange for letting the miners go, Klwama visited the Enterprise.

Meanwhile, Flamm told the natives that Klwama was betraying them. When the boy returned, natives were armed with rifles to defy him. Flamm's men then took some natives hostage and tried to retreat with them to their spacecraft. Klwama pinned Flamm and threatened to kill him if he didn't order his team to disarm, and they relented.

Flamm and his men later boarded the Enterprise shuttle Leonardo. (TOS comic: "And a Child Shall Lead Them")
