Lieutenant Peter Davila was a male human Starfleet officer who served as a security officer aboard the USS Enterprise-E by 2379. Davila was part of the search and rescue team which beamed aboard the Klingon ship the IKS Taj after it had been severely damaged by the nadion-pulse cannons of Tezwa. (TNG novel: A Time to Kill)
Davila was on the surface of Tezwa with Security Chief Christine Vale; when deposed Prime Minister Kinchawn launched his coup d'etat, Davila took Ambassador Lagan Serra into protective custody at the Ilanatava. (TNG novel: A Time to Heal)
Davila was still aboard the Enterprise in 2381, having earned the rank of Lieutenant, and witnessed the Borg Invasion. After the Enterprise and the USS Aventine traversed a subspace tunnel from the Azure Nebula to the Carina Arm, the two ships were attacked and boarded by Hirogen hunters. Davila was part of Randolph Giudice's security team that engaged the hunters with TR-116 rifles. When the rifles initially proved ineffective, he and Bryan Regnis switched to high-explosive ammunition as they retreated to section nineteen. The Hirogen were able to outflank the security force, and Davila was slashed across the chest by a curved blade. (ST - Destiny novel: Mere Mortals)
Davila and fellow Enterprise security officers Randolph Giudice, Kirsten Cruzen, Bryan Regnis, T'Sona, and Jarata Beyn were amongst the forces temporarily transferred to the Aventine when the vessel plotted to attack and capture a Borg scout, hoping to secure its vinculum. T'Sona and Jarata implanted self-sealing anchor bolts so that the other four could grapple across the gap to the central core. Even as the quartet slid across the gap, squad leader Guidice noticed that Davila, like himself, was still in considerable pain from wound suffered at the hands of the Hirogen. Once they landed, Peter pointed out that the opening that had originally been present had now been sealed, necessitating a explosive charge. They fought a group of Borg drones, but ran out of ammo before they had neutralized their attackers; Davila exclaimed that they had been so close, but Guidice painted the remaining drones with gel flare, allowing other sharpshooters to finish them off.
