Pharaon was a civilian freighter owned and operated by Aldo Corsi for many years through the year 2376. It had been named after a ship featured in a favorite novel of Corsi's. In 2376, Domenica Corsi and Fabian Stevens joined the elder Corsi and his assistant Wilson on a delivery run to the Thelkans. (SCE eBook: Home Fires)

The "centuries-old novel" that included the Pharaon's namesake is The Count of Monte Cristo.
