A phase discriminator was a piece of technology used by the Federation.

History[]

Data's positronic brain contained a phase discriminator. In the year 2368, Geordi La Forge scanned the phase discriminator for anomalies. (TNG - Assimilation² comic: "Issue 2")

Also in 2368, phase discriminators were installed in the Department of Temporal Investigations' Eridian Vault on Eris. These discriminators protected the vault from interference by temporal changes. (DTI novel: Watching the Clock)
