In the year 2374, Jacobson was assigned to Starbase 375. Jacobson's name was listed on a directory as having an office in room room 10-5416. (DS9 reference: Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Technical Manual)
Dominion War[]
By the outbreak of the Dominion War, Phillip Jacobson was an officer, with the rank of captain. In 2374, a casualty report filed by the starship USS Sarajevo noted that Captain Jacobson was missing in action. Additional reports from the USS Cochrane and USS Repulse recorded that Captain Jacobson had been killed. (DS9 episodes: "In the Pale Moonlight", "What You Leave Behind")
Later, in 2375, reports of Captain Jacobson's death remained on record from the Cochrane. (DS9 episodes: "Image in the Sand", "The Siege of AR-558")
