For other uses, see Phinda.

Phinda was an ancient deity amongst the Tellarite race who used the name for their second moon of their homeworld. It became the inspiration for the Phinda-class frigates used in the 22nd century. In 2155 when the Romulans managed to remotely hijack the Miracht; its Captain Prev prayed to Phinda to forgive him for destroying the ship rather than allow it to fall into the hands of the Romulan Star Empire.
