History and speficiations[]
As a reference to the fight against breast cancer, a humanoid disease, the Khitomer Alliance offered a set of pink pets and items for its commanding officers. Included in the pink vanity pack was the pink vanity shield for starships, the pink ribbon badge - a type of combadge, the pink Risian Lunarian Caracal pet, and a pink genetically-altered safe tribble.
As a vanity shield, this shield array had no defensive capabilities and was equipped on a vessel for the sole purpose of altering its appearance. The basic hull material would remain in place but accentuated by lines of pink lights running across the superstructure, reminiscent of the white lines from the Aegis covariant shield array.
