Pirek or Romulus I[1] was a moon that orbited the planet Romulus.
Known also as the "Leaper" and was the nearest of the two moons that circled the Romulan home world. The geography of Pirek appeared to the Romulan eye to resemble that of a leaping animal of some kind though the Romulans themselves thought of it as a predatory cat. It dominated the night sky over Romulus and tended to obscure the view of the stars. Romulan superstition held that if Pirek eclipsed Elvreng on the day a Romulan was born was one of the luckiest omens. (Last Unicorn RPG module: The Way of D'era: The Romulan Star Empire)
