A plasma weapon is a type of weapon which uses plasma as a means to inflict damage or destroy enemy targets.

Because of plasma's energetic nature, a plasma weapon could be considered a type of directed energy weapon. Among the races to develop plasma weapon technology are the Romulans and the Kazon. (DS9 episode: "Image in the Sand", VOY episode: "Maneuvers")
