"Plato's Stepchildren" was the 67th episode of Star Trek: The Original Series, the 12th episode of the show's third and final season, first aired on 22 November 1968. The episode was written by Meyer Dolinsky, directed by David Alexander and novelized in Star Trek 11 by James Blish. A remastered version of this episode was aired in syndication, premiering on 16 June 2007.
