Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

PojjanPiraKot was a planet located somewhere in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants, in the Bal Quonnot and PojjanPiraKot system near the 24th century border of Federation space.

History and specifics[]

PojjanPiraKot was the homeworld of the Pojjana civilization, with the system co-habitated with another race, the Bal Quonnot. The Pojjana were potential Federation members in the 24th century.

The Pojjans were not as advanced as the Bal Quonnot. Because of their greater technology, the Bal Quonnot tended to be the dominant force in their shared star system in terms of politics and diplomacy.

When the Bal Quonnot secretly allied with the Romulan Empire in the 24th century, the Pojjana were nervous, and made overtures towards the Federation for an alliance of their own. After a Romulan scientist, Zevon, caused a disastrous gravity wave called the Constrictor, the Pojjana homeworld was devastated. Xenophobia became rampant through their society, as an uninvited alien has caused the deaths of over a billion of their people. Despite the Federation's offers of assistance, the Pojjana distrust of outworlders became too strong, and they expelled Ambassador Spock and his embassy staff from their world in the year 2353.
