The Polydorus system was a star system in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrant. Polydorus was part of the Hecuba star cluster. (TNG novel: Headlong Flight)
Characteristics[]
The Polydorus system contained at least one planet with parallels to Earth in the Paleoproterozoic Era. Its eukaryotic organisms were much like what evolved on Earth 1.8 billion years before the 24th century. (TNG novel: Headlong Flight)
History[]
In an alternate timeline Elsewhere, where William Riker served as commanding officer of the USS Enterprise-D in 2367, Data informed his colleague Geordi La Forge on stardate 44853.6 about the characteristics of the Polydorus system. Data pointed out that further studies would require a dedicated science team. La Forge found the Hecuba star cluster, on the whole, uninteresting. (TNG novel: Headlong Flight)
