The Port Shangri-La Seagulls were a baseball team in the Cestus Baseball League, based in Port Shangri-La on Cestus III. The team's logo was a stylized seagull holding a baseball bat in its beak. (TNG novel: Q & A)

History and specifics[]

The Seagulls were considered the toughest rivals of the Pike City Pioneers. Sometime prior to 2380, the Seagulls played the Pioneers for championship of the CBL's Northern Division. They lost on a hit by Pioneer Hugues Baptiste.

The Seagulls played the Pioneers at Ruth Field in May 2380, and led 2-0 in the bottom of the ninth inning; they lost after relief pitcher Faith Martinez allowed three runs to end the game. (ST novel: Articles of the Federation)

Olwyn Kadohata played shortstop for the Seagulls for several years, through 2380. Her sister, Miranda Kadohata, met her future husband, Vicenzo Farrenga, at a Seagulls game against the Palombo Sehlats. (TNG novel: Q & A)
