Project Farsight was an operation conducted by Starfleet Intelligence in the 23rd century and was part of the Romulan sector division. It was based around Starbase 20 where it was classified under SECLAR 6 and its contact officer was Admiral X. W. Sumers with an aim of providing surveillance on the Romulan Star Empire.
Part of the assignment included the operation of a highly classified installation located within the Romulan Neutral Zone that was responsible for intelligence gathering assignments. Starfleet Intelligence agents assigned to this facility were stationed on a planetoid that monitored the movement of Romulan warships and starship deployment activity within the Star Empire's territory.
