The Proxima Centaurians were a humanoid species from the Proxima Centauri star system.
They were descended from Human colonists who were mutated by the unique atmosphere of Proxima Centauri. Proxima Centaurians were distinguishable by faint hexagon-shaped markings that extend all over their heads, except for their faces. (TOS - Year Five - Weaker Than Man comic: "Issue 18")
