The psi-clone was a device invented by historian Alexander Lazarus in the 23rd century.

History and specifications[]

The psi-clone was a computer capable of recording the minds of important figures in Human history. After being ridiculed by the scientific community when the computer malfunctioned, Lazarus took it with him when he left Earth to settle on Gamma Alpha V. Another malfunction caused the psi-clone to transfer the recording of Benjamin Franklin's mind into the body of one of Lazarus' android assistants. He then used the computer to create more Lazarus replicants, android duplicates of historical figures. In the year 2266, Lazarus decided to use Spock's brain to reprogram the psi-clone to record the minds of figures in Vulcan history. The psi-clone was damaged by an accidental phaser blast, and was destroyed when Gamma Alpha V exploded, with the loss of all the recordings. (TOS comic: "The Legacy of Lazarus")
