A pylchyk is a type of animal lifeform kept as livestock on the planet Bajor.

In 2376, Gavi, a preschool teacher aboard Deep Space 9, showed his students an illustration of a pylchyk. (DS9 - Mission Gamma novel: Twilight)

Rebecca Jae Sisko had pictures of pylchyks on a pair of pajamas she wore in 2381. (ST - Typhon Pact novel: Rough Beasts of Empire)
