Qaletaqu was a Human of the Martian Hopi-Pueblo nation who lived in the 22nd century.
History[]
In 2155, Qaletaqu was serving as the representative of Mars to both Earth and the Coalition of Planets. He was present at a meeting of the Coalition Security Council at which the Vulcans announced their plan to install a "burglar alarm" as a defensive measure. Later, Qaletaqu would be interviewed by Gannet Brooks about this meeting and he would then inform his town council about the Vulcan's decision. At the meeting, Qaletaqu's father, Katowa, said that the Hopi-Pueblos should move to another world to avoid Romulan attack. Qaletaqu argued strongly against leaving the planet. (ENT novel: Beneath the Raptor's Wing)
Shortly after the Earth-Romulan War, in 2161, as a Special Representative, Qaletaqu served as one of the signatories of the Articles of the Federation, which gave birth to the United Federation of Planets. (ENT novel: To Brave the Storm)
In 2162, Mars was admitted into the Federation making it the sixth member, with Qaletaqu serving as its first representative on the Federation Council. (ENT - Rise of the Federation novels: A Choice of Futures, Tower of Babel)
In 2164, following the first election for the Federation President and Council representatives, Qaletaqu had been re-elected to represent Mars on the Federation Council. (ENT - Rise of the Federation novel: Tower of Babel)
