First City

The First City.

The Qam-Chee River was a waterway on the planet Qo'noS. The river ran past the First City, capital city of the Klingon Empire. (KE novel: A Burning House)

History and specifics

In ancient times before the Age of Kahless, the Qam-Chee river facilitated trade and the movement of military forces to the Sea of Gatan and westward to the PoSbIQ'a' Ocean.

The river gave its name to the city of Qam-Chee. (ST reference: The Klingon Empire)

The estates of the House of Palkar were located on the Qam-Chee in the 2370s decade, opposite the capital. (KE novel: A Burning House)

Within the First City, the river could be traversed by boat in the 2380s. At the time, there were Klingons who believed the river harbored portals to the Klingon underworld Gre'thor.

The Hall of Warriors was located in the south-east quarter of the city, overlooking Qam-Chee River. This information was included in the 2387 edition of a tourist guide for offworlders. (ST reference: The Klingon Empire)
