Qu'Vat, center of the Omega Leonis sector block.

The Qu'Vat sector was a sector of space in the galaxy's Beta Quadrant, the central of three sectors making up the Omega Leonis sector block. This sector block lay within territory claimed and controlled by the Klingon Empire. (STO - Klingon Sector mission: "Welcoming the Federation")

History and specifics[]

The Qu'Vat sector was named for containing the Qu'Vat system. (STO - Klingon War mission: "The Ultimate Klingon")

This sector was a site of conflict between the Federation and the Klingons during the Federation-Klingon War of 2405-2410. Starfleet invaded the Kahless Expanse in the late 2400s decade. (STO - Klingon Sector mission: "Welcoming the Federation")

This came to the attention of Lieutenant Commander Mara, stationed in the First City on Qo'noS. She ordered a Klingon Defense Force ship to infiltrate the Kahless Expanse and force Starfleet squadrons into retreat in honorable combat. (STO - Klingon Sector mission: "Empire Defense Against Federation Spies")

From 2410 on, the Qu'Vat sector was replaced on maps by the Gorath sector. (STO - The Iconian War mission: "Manhunt")
