Quantum storm

A quantum storm in 2261.

A quantum storm or "temporal knot" was a type of spacial phenomenon, a nexus of alternate timelines.

History and specifics[]

While inside a quantum storm, one could experience temporal entanglement.

In 2258, the emergence of the Narada in the Kelvin timeline generated sensor readings similar to a quantum storm. (TOS - Parallel Lives comic: "Part 1")

In 2261, a quantum storm in the Campor system brought the Kelvin timeline's USS Enterprise alongside a parallel timeline's USS Enterprise. As the storm intensified, temporal entanglement led to further disturbances, such as brief appearances aboard the Enterprise by the prime reality's Geordi La Forge and the mirror universe's James T. Kirk. (TOS - Parallel Lives comics: "Part 1", "Part 2")

Enterprises IDIC 15

Multiple Enterprises in a quantum storm.

In 2263, Gary Mitchell generated a quantum storm in the Lelas system that brought together numerous alternate Kelvin timeline permutations of the Enterprise. (TOS - Boldly Go - IDIC comics: "Part 1", "Part 2", "Part 3")
