This article is about a star. You may be looking for the planet Questar in the Boron 667 system.

Questar M-17 (also known as Quasar M-17) is a dead star with a negative star mass that is located at the edge of the Milky Way Galaxy in the Beta Quadrant. (ST reference: Star Charts)

On one star chart, it was shown in the general vicinity of a disputed border with the Tholian Assembly. (ST reference: Star Trek Maps)

History and specifics[]

While en route to the planet Gateway in 2269, the USS Enterprise became trapped by the hypergravity produced by Questar. After establishing a stable orbit, the Enterprise discovered an unknown alien vessel also orbiting the star. (TAS episode & Log One novelization: Beyond the Farthest Star)

The unofficial Concordance spelled it Questar M17.
