RRW Vastam was a 25th century Romulan starship, the Vastam-class command battlecruiser warbird prototype in Romulan Republic service in the early 25th century. From the 2410s decade onwards, the vessel was part of the Romulan Republican Force. (STO - From the Ashes mission: "Explore the Flotilla")
History[]
Vastam was the name given by the colonists temporarily settling Dewa III. In the 25th century, the Romulans retained the name for the Vastam Peaks mountains. (STO - New Romulus missions: "The History of New Romulus", "Vastam Peaks")
The RRW Vastam was constructed at, and launched from, the New Romulus Shipyards during the Khitomer Alliance expansion into the Delta Quadrant under Operation Delta Rising. It was one of three prototypes for new tier 6 command battlecruiser warbird classes, alongside the Baratan-class RRW Baratan and the Deihu-class RRW Deihu. All three were part of the Allied series of command battlecruiser classes, for a total of nine new Allied ship classes. (STO website: Delta Rising: Tier 6 Command Ships - Romulan)
