RRiss was a swampy planet located in Federation space near the Twilight Nebula in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants. It was the homeworld of the advancing reptilian RRissith civilization. (FASA RPG module: Trader Captains and Merchant Princes, 1st edition)
History and specifics[]
Though within Federation territory, it was less than a parsec from the Klingon border and the nebula. As a result, it was cut off from subspace communications with Federation worlds aside from nearby Facet. The planet was located in a star system on the outskirts of the Twilight Nebula sector within the Organian Treaty Zone.
It was moderately populated, hot, and boggy.
In the 23rd century, the RRiss had yet to develop warp drive. Klingons provided transports so that the RRissith could colonize nearly SSleen, part of a plot to incite civil war and Klingon occupation. (FASA RPG module: Trader Captains and Merchant Princes, 2nd edition)
