The racing uniform was a type of clothing, a combination of garments consisting of a top, trousers and boots worn as a Starfleet uniform from the 2370s^[1] to the 2410s^[2] decades. (STO website: Awakening: New Starter and Faction Packs!)

This uniform was worn by Starfleet personnel of the USS Voyager during their participation in the first annual Antarian Trans-stellar Rally on stardate 54058.6 in the year 2377. Three Voyager officers donned this outfit, serving on two vessels during the Antarian-organized race. Lieutenant junior grades B'Elanna Torres and Tom Paris piloted the Delta Flyer II while Ensign Harry Kim served as co-pilot for the Terrellian Irina aboard Irina's racing ship. Visually, the uniform was a one-piece jumpsuit combined with a pair of black boots. The shoulder area was white. The body consisted of black and grey area. The black, grey and white portions of the uniform were separated by a red seam. Flaps along the front of the torso served as opening and closing mechanism. (VOY episode: "Drive")

This uniform was available to Starfleet and Starfleet-aligned Khitomer Alliance commanding officers and their bridge officers by the year 2410. In the 2410s, this uniform could be worn with Rank insignia on the collar and a Starfleet combadge on the left breast. (STO website: Awakening: New Starter and Faction Packs!)

On stardate 58354.2 in 2381, Ensign Samanthan Rutherford of the USS Cerritos became stuck in a mindscape caused by his malfunctioning Vulcan implant. To determine which of his personalities would survive, Rutherford engaged in the Devron 500 ship race with his "younger" counterpart. In the mindscape, Ensign Rutherford built a replica of the Delta Flyer II and summoned versions of his friends, Ensigns D'Vana Tendi, Bradward Boimler and Beckett Mariner to operate the Flyer-class shuttle. In the 25th century racing uniform consisted of a separable jacket and trousers and could be mixed with other uniform pieces. The colors could be changed. With the red stripe separating the darker bodice from the white shoulder area, the racing uniform resembled the captain's uniform of the 2410-era Odyssey uniform. Alternate timelines[]

Alternate Harry Kims — Harry Kim (alternates) in 2382.

In an alternate timeline affected by the Q Continuum's temporal anomaly crisis, Delta FLyer Paris, Torres and Kim were pulled into the year 2380, wearing their Delta Flyer uniforms. The trio joined the local Starfleet to help Q resolve the crisis. (ST video game: Timelines)

In another quantum reality where the USS Voyager remained in the Delta Quadrant and its crew settled on a planet, Ensign Harry Kim wore this uniform when he was pulled into another quantum reality due to the side effect of the United Earth ringship Beagle opening quantum rifts. Ensign Kim became one of several Ensign Kims serving aboard the primary universe Section 31 starship USS Anaximander under Captain William Boimler in 2382.
