A radio energy analyzer dish was a sensor device used by Federation starships.

History and specifics[]

In 2266, the USS Enterprise attempted to use its radio energy analyzer dish to study the radiation from Kujal's sun which caused life forms to shrink, but it jammed. Montgomery Scott went outside the ship to fix it, but in the process was accidentally exposed to the shrinking radiation. (TOS comic: "Dwarf Planet")
