Rafting is a recreational activity which involves using a small boat, known as a raft, to traverse along bodies of water or other liquids.

In 2234, Leonard H. McCoy's cousin, David McCoy, drowned during a rafting trip down the Chattahoochee River on Earth. (TOS novel: Ice Trap).
